The Centre for the Treatment of Cleft Facial Defects cooperates with the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics , which provides perioperative care for newborns with congenital defects, especially cleft lip. It is a preoperative examination and exclusion of congenital malformations (ultrasound of the brain, heart, kidneys), preparation for anesthesia, postoperative short-term artificial lung ventilation, parenteral nutrition, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, local care of the surgical wound, etc.

The team at the neonatal intensive care unit includes neonatal nurses with experience in intensive care, pediatricians and neonatologists. The work of the whole team is based on high expertise, precision and a kind approach to parents and especially to the smallest patients, your children.
